I’m Stephanie Nunez, a graphic designer, illustrator, surface pattern designer, and artist currently back in my hometown of New York, though my life usually unfolds nomad-style, moving every three to six months. My work is rooted in lived experience: travel, memory, healing, and the quiet symbolism of everyday life. I create clean, modern, and authentic visuals that feel human first, art that carries story, intention, and soul, not just polish.
My path into design wasn’t straightforward. I wasn’t allowed to go to design school and was pushed toward business instead, earning a marketing degree in three years. But creativity has a way of waiting for you. I put myself through design school, took my first design role in 2012, and never stopped building from there. Today, my process blends hand-drawn pencil and pen work with digital tools like Procreate, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AI platforms such as MidJourney and ChatGPT. I use AI not to replace intuition, but to expand it, combining strategy, storytelling, and technology to sculpt visual languages that feel personal, accessible, and deeply resonant.
What drives my work is life itself, its contradictions, its beauty, its resilience. Whether I’m creating surface patterns, illustrations, or brand systems, I approach each project as a form of translation: turning emotion, culture, and experience into something you can see, hold, and return to. I’m open to licensing, commissions, collaborations, and thoughtful partnerships with art directors, brands, and collectors who value story as much as design.
